Boy Hunting, circa 1866, signed on base "Randolph Rogers-Rome", Carrara marble, 38 x 16 x 14 in.

Note:

Randolph John Rogers spent most of his productive years in Rome, Italy. He established a studio in 1851 and later employed sculptors to create his works in marble under his supervision. He became the first American to be elected to Italy's Accademia di San Luca.

Condition

surface weathering, crack through arrow shaft and loss to point, repairs and losses to headdress, lacking plumes, white paint accretion (drips) on base.
