E. Reynaud, Rue Rodier, Paris. Model from 1889, with replica shade, candle-holder, original mirrors and 8 original strips (one strip with minor damage). A very important and early pre-cinema collector's item! - Note: An improvement of the zoetrope, Émile Reynaud's praxinoscope used a series mirrors with prism-like effect to create moving images without the typical 'flicker' associated with 'persistence of vision' devices. - Literature: Coe, "The History of Movie Photography", p. 35.
