Chinese Yuan Dynasty Blue and White Duck & Lotus Pond Motif Porcelain Jar. Potted with a large cylinder vessel, sturdily potted in slight ovoid belly, heavy on shoulder gently tapered on short neck, slight flaring opening lip, and raised on round foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white color which contrast against blue color, depicted of duck through water grass and flower. Blue and white porcelain in Chinese it is called Qing Hua Ci. It is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Yuan Dynasty.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
