Chinese Blue and White Alum Red Porcelain Moon Vase On Carved Hardwood Stand. The porcelain potted in moon vase, flat globular moon lower belly, emerging tendril flanked on the straight cylindrical neck, round mouth rim, raised on ellipse foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in red base color which contrast against blue and white color, depicted of magpie bird hanging on branch tree with dense foliage and ripe fruit. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
