Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in yellow color which contrast against famille rose design color lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings. Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
