Description
Latin America, Mexico, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A hand-carved wooden festival mask with lengthy tassels of horsehair attached to the peripheries. The intense visage is pale with pink skin, rosy cheeks, and green eyes that stare hauntingly. The downturned mouth, nostrils, and peripheries are pierced, and a suspension cord is attached to the top. Size: 6" L x 5" W (15.2 cm x 12.7 cm)
