Knox (Ronald) Group of 12 autograph and typed letters signed ('RA Knox' or 'R.A.K'), mostly to Mr Finberg, mostly arranging meetings with the recipient, one saying in part "I wrote rather strongly to Ian about G - S, claiming that (quite apart from all the misprints in his Breviary) he'd be badly wanted over the revision of my O.T. and, if I do it, N.T. commentary", 29 August 1949; another letter reading in part "Thanks terribly and for sending me the inaugural lecture...I think it is terribly good but rather (as may say) nostalgic, at least to me", 2 July 1953; also including a letter to a Mr Morrison, saying "I am delighted to hear that Finberg has found a niche, though it be only of brick. I have never heard of a readership in Local History, and still don't feel clear whether it means the local history of Leicester or local history everywhere, prescinding from its ubiety. But I am sure he will do well in either case", 18 January 1952, and a typed letter to Mr Gillett, saying " I hate making up my mind...What is quite certain is that, with present commitments, I should not have time to begin doing anything about it before next summer.
