Native American, Western United States, Plains Tribes, likely Sioux people, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A collection of 8 handmade leather sheaths and children's moccasins that are lane stitched using vibrant beads and geometric symbols, knives, and a cylindrical whetstone. The coyote jaw knife is a recreation using traditional stone knapping techniques to shape the blade, and the deer antler handle is inlaid with turquoise shards in the pommel and attached to an antique steel blade. The moccasins were made to sell and are child's 5 - 5.5 US shoe size and could be worn as intended. Size (antler knife sheath): 8" L x 2" W (20.3 cm x 5.1 cm)

Condition
Losses to whetstone. Moccasins have a stiff sole with some slight bending but could be worn as intended. Leather sheaths have signs of use, staining, and some fraying to threads and beadwork. Patina on steel blade or antler knife. Coyote jaw knife is in new condition.
