Luftwaffe First Model Dagger by maker Robert Klaas, in overall good condition. A very decent dagger, with some flaws. Pommel nut and crossguard have lost much of their finish, especially the gold plating to the swastikas on either side. The leather covering to the grip has some typical chipping to the leather, but the wire wrapping remains in place and generally quite taut. Blade shows extensive running marks but almost no corrosion, and the maker's mark is deeply stamped. The scabbard is covered in deep blue leather, scuffed and chipped in places as is usually the case, with fittings tarnished but otherwise fine. Fitted with a hanger chain, the clip stamped 'Ges. Gesch. oLc'. Overall good condition.
