Comte Henri Auguste D' Ainecy Montpezat (French 1817-1859), "The Hurdler", oil on canvas, equestrian hunt scene painting depicting a figure on horseback jumping a fence, signed at lower left with D. Vandenbroeck (Belgian) frame maker label and stencil marks for Charles Bourgeois and his successor J. Colcomb to canvas en verso, in giltwood, gesso, and composition frame.
Canvas approx. h. 19.5", w. 16.5"; Overall h. 26.75", w. 23.25", d. 2.75".

Condition
Canvas has been lined, craquelure with some visible losses, scattered inpainting and varnish has darkened with a hazy green layer visible under ultraviolet light, paint surface is stable, damage to frame.
