Experimenting with the nature of different surface textures and their relation to space, he develops an approach full of spontaneity and intuition. The color lithographs in his Barcelona series are characterized by transparency and compression. Within printmaking, lithography offered him the possibility of applying many thin layers of color on top of each other, creating different tonal values, color transitions and coverages.
