Ancient Egyptian New Kingdom Terracotta Jar c.1550-1070 BC. Size 4 1/4 inches high, 3 1/2 inches widest point. A handmade globular vessel with a pinched lip short neck. Decorated with two wave like incised designs around the body inside the vertical incised lines. Excavation identification make in black on neck of jar. Visible hay impressions from the drying process/firing process. Provenance: Private Long Island Collection Ex De-Acquisition from Ashmolean Museum.
