Several thousand entries written in a fine hand on all variety of topics ("Master and Servant," "Adultery, Fornication and Bastardy," "Husband and Wife," usury, trespass, penal laws, etc.) "Negroes bound in their states and bro't into this state may be compelled to serve until 28 years old.... If an innkeeper's servants rob his guests, the master is bound to restitution... A citizin of the U.S. is not a foreigner in Pennsylvanai..." 8vo. 300+ pp. Quarter calf over boards. (2) Whitmell T. Sharrock. Practice Book of legal forms, 1831, in Bertie Coutny North Carolina. This volume contains a variety of legal form (including the sale of slaves and personal property). Sharrock owned the King-Freeman-Speight House, still standing in Republican, N.C. 8vo. Quarter leather over marbled boards.

Spine damaged and front board started (1). Both volumes worn commensurate with age and use.
