Eisenstaedt achieved prominence as a photojournalist and worked as a staff photographer for Life Magazine from 1936 to 1972 where he became best known for his human interest photographs and candid images of celebrities and news events. Today Alfred Eisenstaedt's images are held in important collections throughout the world.
