Spidey faces another super-generic foe, the Disruptor. There's a ho-hum assassination plot with a forgettable cliffhanger. Stan's mind seems elsewhere, and without Stan's steadying hand, Romita's plot drifts in circles. Pretty soon Stan will stop writing comics altogether and ascend to the role of Publisher, cementing his position as the public face of Marvel comics.
