Spidey fights the super-generic Smasher, a foe so flavorless he makes Molten Man seem like Doctor Doom. Meanwhile, Aunt May, still smarting from Gwen's dis, shacks up with Doc Ock (later continuity reveals that not only did Ock bang octogenarian May, but that Peter Parker was forced to experience the event from an Ock's-eye point of view – ugh). Meanwhile, JJJ backs a crooked demagogue politician for at least the 2nd time.
