The Disruptor-Smasher three-parter grinds to a close – let's just say it's no Master Planner trilogy. The most interesting thing about this saga is J. Jonah Jameson's politcal about-face. The last time JJJ endorsed a candidate, it was conservative crook Sam Bullit (ASM #s 91-92). But this time around, JJJ likes liberal crook Richard Raleigh ("OF COURSE I'm for Raleigh! What self-respecting citizen WOULDN'T BE?"). Raleigh croaks, and the story ends with Spidey burning the evidence that Raleigh was a fink so as not to demoralize the electorate (awfully similar to the Harvey Dent plot twist in the 2008 Dark Knight flick).
