A Chippendale carved walnut tall chest of drawers Probably Chester County, PA, circa 1770
(H: 64 in. W: 41 1/2 in. D: 23 1/4 in.)
Molded top, four small arched drawers, over three short drawers, over two short drawers, over four graduated long drawers, molded base, shaped bracket feet.

The estate of Virginia M. Ford, Pennsylvania.
Condition
nice appearance overall, probably refinished surface; top surface with some age splits commensurate with age; top left-facing side molding with repaired break; locks removed from all drawers and evidence of former Quaker locks to five of top most drawers; several repairs to drawer front faces, including to top lips of four drawers, and other patches to corners or lips; feet may be later replacements, although appear to have a lot of age, with evidence of a few repaired breaks and patches, and visible pins to all of them; side panels with evidence of old worm / insect damage; brasses are period and possibly originals; minor splits or separations in drawers; oak and poplar are secondary woods in drawers
