Gerald Gooch (American b. 1933) Modernist 1960's Original Drawing. Signed and dated 1968/69. 3rd in a series of 3 "realistic Movement" works offered titled "This stone won't break your bones." Gooch's unique realistic style was made famouswith his 1966 Time Magazine cover of Juan Marchal throwing a pitch using multiple images to convey motion. Gooch was an artist, an illustrator, and a teacher. He exhibited and won prizes at many prominent California exhibitions. He was ateacher at the San Francisco Art Institute for many years. His works are in the collections of the San Francisco Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Size: 40 x 15 in.2
