Signed and dated 1968/69. 1st in a series of 3 "realistic Movement" works offered titled "This stone won't break your bones."Gooch's unique realistic style was made famous with his 1966 Time Magazine cover of Juan Marchal throwing a pitch using multiple images to convey motion. Gooch was an artist, an illustrator, and a teacher. He exhibited and won prizes at manyprominent California exhibitions. He was a teacher at the San Francisco Art Institute for many years.
