Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Porcelain Gourd Bottle Vase. The porcelain potted in a shape of double gourd bottle vase, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, round opening lip, raised on ring foot base and slightly concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white color which contrast against blue design color, depicted of flori form medallion surrounded with hundred auspicious pattern. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.

The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. Mark under the Mouth rim, Made in The Years of Jiajing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition.
