This is the representative badge for the GAR 54th National Encampment in Indianapolis September 19 - 25, 1920. The top brass medal features the American eagle atop two crossed cannons. Suspended from it is the enameled brass GAR Representative badge with the motto reads: When can their glory fade. Below there is a badge depicting a tower representing the city of Indianapolis. From that is suspended a brass circular medal with the relief portrait of Benjamin Harrison. Complete with the original yellow color moire ribbon. Benjamin Harrison was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 23rd president of the United States from 1889 to 1893.
