Breast Badge, 50x40 mm, of the Type for Staff Officers, Silver wreath superimposed with the Gold, cyrillic monogram “??? ” with crossed lances beneath and silver, crossed trumpets below, with blue/yellow enameled “vimpels”, flanked by the crowned, Gold monograms of the tsars Aleksandr I and Nicholas II, upper, Gold Tsarist crown with blue enameled pendalia, bearing the regiment’s name in Gold lettering, yellow enameled scrolls, bearing the dates “1812” and “1912” in black, the reverse struck with maker’s and silver marks and typical Russian suspension device.A beautiful, elaborately-made, extremely rare badge of a famous cavalry regiment, that bravely fought in the campaign against Napoleon, excellent condition.
