Description
East Asia, China, Song Dynasty, ca. 960 to 1279 CE. A pair of elegant and simple pottery bowls of a similar style resting on a ring form foot, the thin walls swelling outward to create a conical body. Both are glazed in a lovely celadon hue of a muted gray-green tone. Bowls like these were some of China's most important exports during the Song period and were admired and emulated in Korea and Japan. Size: 6.75" W x 2" H (17.1 cm x 5.1 cm)
