4 Chinese Song Dynasty Celadon Porcelain Bowls: the largest probably Longquan and carved to the outside with long, narrow flower petals, the base glazed inside unglazed foot ring; 2 with pale celadon glazes and an unglazed ring inside bowls for "stack-firing" in the kiln, the 4th with 3 spur marks inside the bowl for stack-firing. Diameter of largest 8 1/4 inches (21 cm.). PROVENANCE: Property of a Long Beach, Long Island Estate sold without reserves.
Condition
The largest with hairline from mouth rim with small chips, flakes and corrosion; 1 bowl with light wear, 1 with wear and 1 hairline to unglazed foot ring and frits, and the smallest with cracks and hairlines with slight glaze loss.
