Description
Mid 20th century folk art carved wooden miniature model of the Lake Champlain sidewheel steamboat S.S. Ticonderoga handcrafted by Frederick A. Brice Sr. (1917-1988) of Burlington, Vermont, with polychrome paint decorated elements, captain figure, and gilded pilot house eagle. The S.S. Ticonderoga was constructed in Shelburne Shipyard in 1906 and moved to the grounds of Shelburne Museum by Electra Havemeyer Webb in 1953. model 24" x 45" x 13", 24" x 49" x 15.5" overall, in excellent condition
