Item Details
Description
This is a choice date for any Ames contract sword as it would have seen use throughout the entire Civil War. The blade is in fine condition overall and all markings are crisp and clear. From years of sitting in an attic in New England, the leather grip has rotted away and the brass wire gone. There are several people who replace grip coverings, but I prefer to leave them as found.
