Description

A book from the collection of William Webster. William Webster was a judge on the US Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, before serving as both director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (1978 - 1987) and the Central Intelligence Agency (1987 - 1991). He is the only individual to have held both positions.

George Gordon Meade. With Meade at Gettysburg. Philadelphia: War Library and Museum of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, 1930. inscribed by the author on front free endpaper: "To Margaretta L. Harrison / with the compliments of her loving Cousin / Geo. G. Meade / Dec. 1932." With engraved frontispiece and twenty-four folding maps.
