Comedian Will Rogers Signature & Accompanying Envelope
Signature and cover postmarked November 21, 1929, Beverly Hills, CA. Wonderfully preserved autograph signed "Will Rogers", with its original envelope. Rogers (1879-1935) was a comedian and early film actor who starred in a total of 71 pictures, including silent and talkies. He would get his start in showbusiness performing in the famous vaudeville act Ziegfeld Follies, where he portrayed himself as an archetypal cowboy and acted in various stunts. Expected letter folds and light toning to both pieces, revealing a crisp, bold signature. 5.4125" x 3.4125".
