Suffragette Carrie Chapman Catt Signature
Autograph and original postage, 5.5" x 3.5", dated September 11, 1933, New Rochelle, NY. Carrie Chapman Catt (1859-1947) was an American women's suffrage leader who campaigned for the nineteenth amendment and twice served as president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA). Additionally in 1920, Catt would go on to found the League of Women Voters at that year's annual NAWSA conference. Expected letter folds with light, uneven toning throughout. Wonderfully preserved in postage originally provided by the collector and features a bold signature.
