An estate collection with two (2) 19th Century antique Mexican retablo paintings on tin. Religious works painted in a folk art style. Includes: one (1) work titled, "Santa Librada," a figural representation of the folk Saint Wilgefortis, called Librada ("Liberty") in Spanish speaking countries; and one (1) work titled "St. Joseph," a figural work with a crowned male saint figure bearing the Holy Infant and a flowered staff. Titles and original August 1968 purchase date to verso, with additional work information and auction results affixed to verso. Each presented with a mustard yellow fabric border in a wooden frame, displayed in an acrylic shadowbox. Sight size measures approximately 10" x 6". From the Chicago estate of American gallerist and philanthropist Maria McCormick (1937-2021).

Condition: Good overall condition having normal to moderate surface wear, with holes to corners from prior display. Frames having moderate storage wear to edges and corners. Estate fresh to the market condition.
