Bound in gilt cloth with R. gilding and R. title (somewhat rubbed). First French edition, in the year of the Dutch edition, with its engravings. - Famous account of the first Dutch mission to China, undertaken in 1655, in which the author participated as secretary. The engravings show views, costumes, animals and plants, customs and traditions, etc.. Missing the indicated 18 pages and some text copperplates. The larger first part complete. P. 39 with corner tear, otherwise few layers creased. Overall good copy.

Die Kupfer zeigen Ansichten, Kostüme, Tiere u. Pflanzen, Sitten u. Gebräuche, etc. Es fehlen die angegeben 18 Seiten und einige Textkupfer. Der größere erste Teil komplett. S. 39 mit Eckausriss, sonst wenige Lagen knickspurig. Insgesamt gutes Exemplar.
