Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty Jiajing Wucai Porcelain Lidded Jars. Potted with a large cylindrical vessel, jar shape, globular belly heavy on shoulder, round mouth rim, short neck with reverse plate dome lid finial bud, and raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against Wucai design color, depicted of elder relax seating on the grass field surrounded with flowers bloom, dense tree, scrolling vapors and ruyi, enclosed with auspicious petals and ornament. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a four under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within fine blue rings lines. Made in The Years JiaJing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
