In Humboldt County in 1863; now in Pershing County. The Badger and Croesus ledges were the best. "Specimens from the Croesus are spangled all over with course gold,"[Sacramento Daily Union, April 20, 1863.] By 1864 one did not find great expectations but assessments and delinquent notices.
