Large painting 30" x 40.5" Paint on artist board, framed. Most likely frame was purchased from thrift shop and painted over. Benny would do that often. This is ca. 1993 - 95. - during Benny's best years as a painter. A very large painting, one of the best we have offered. Benny lived in Madison, NC and began painting in 1992 when he lost his job at Halstead Meats. He was a prolific folk artist from 1992 until his untimely death in 2014, when he was found shot in his recliner at his home. His estate sale was so vast it took 3 auctioneers working at the same time to sell of his art and antique collection.
