Ca. 500- 400 BC A terracotta cup from Attica comprised of a wide bowl with flared sides and an inward rim; a short stem merging with the bowl and finishing with a wide foot. Black glaze with several red lines. Broken fragments of lip and foot are reattached, at the cracks few retouched missing spots.According to the last owner formerly in the property of the famous German author Gerhard Hauptmann (1862-1946).Size: L:65mm / W:155mm ; 260gProvenance: Property of a London Art Gallery; formerly acquired on the US Art market; previously in the collection of N. and E.
