Description
South Italy, ca. 350 BC. A fine and delicate ancient Campanian Lebes Gemikos, a two-part vase with a female seated on a rocky outcrop and holding a fan, tongues on the shoulder, palmettes below the handles, the lid with black palmettes on the upper surface, bead-and-reel on the rim.
Ex: Collection of Stanley Nagar (d.1999), New York City; acquired 1970s.
