13th-7th century B.C. A copper-alloy whetstone finial in the form of the forequarters of an ibex, the animal's legs tucked beneath its tubular body, long and slender neck forming a handle with its notched horns, stylised muzzle and facial features; mounted on a custom-made display stand. 384 grams total, 19.5 cm high including stand (7 5/8 in.).
