6 pages, loose, in French; largest measuring: 35.7 x 47.5 cm (14 x 18 3/4 in.), smallest: 17 x 11 cm (6 3/4 x 4 3/8 in.)

comprising:
a) an ordinance on vellum to Captain Boistenain du Verger, signed by King Louis XV, signed at Versailles on January 1, 1734;
b) a marriage dispensation on vellum, signed by King Louis Philippe I and various other signatories, dated October 29, 1844, between widower Jean Pierre Verdier and his sister-in-law, Felicite Francoise Leker;
c) a letter on paper from Philippe I, Duke of Orleans, dated January 23, 1830, addressed to a cher Rumigny, with thanks;
d) a letter on paper from Philippe I, addressed to a Monsieur & Ministre at the Concergerie prison, dated February 16, apparently regarding the recipient's conditions of confinement;
e) a letter on paper stamped Chantilly from Robert d'Orleans, Duke of Chartres, son of Prince Ferdinand Philippe, Duke of Orleans, dated November 1885, reading Esteemed friend, Complying with thy desire I send thee my signature. Thine truly, R. d'Orleans;
f) a letter on paper, stamped Morgan House, Ham, Surrey, from Robert d'Orleans, in English, commencing with My dear Sir, I learn through my father that you are actually in town & as I would be glad to meet you again I venture if ask if you would like to come and breakfast with us here on Sunday next December 20th, at twelve o’clock.
