Tall chest, American, late 18th C., probably Pennsylvania, walnut pine and chestnut, projecting molded cornice, over three tandem drawers, over five long, graduated drawers, pierced brasses with bail pulls, lock on each drawer, straight bracket base, finish as found, some loss to left and right side of cornice molding, dust boards present a regional Pennsylvania characteristic, label in top left drawer states " walnut chest of drawers owned by John Forsythe (1750 - 1840) bought in 1920 from his great-granddaughter Annie..." 60" h. x 42" w. x 23" d.[PLEASE BRING APPROPRIATE ASSISTANCE AND VEHICLE, AS GALLERY STAFF CANNOT ASSIST WITH MOVING LARGER/HEAVIER PIECES AFTER PURCHASE]
