Younger sister of Frederick the Great who became Queen of Sweden from 1751 to 1771 as the wife of King Adolf Frederick; she long aimed to reintroduce the system of absolute monarchy to Sweden, a goal finally accomplished by her son, King Gustav III, in the Revolution of 1772. LS in French, signed “Votre affectionnée, Louise Ulrique,” one page, 7.25 x 9, November 20, 1767. Untranslated letter to "Le President Hennault," evidently Charles-Jean-François Hénault, President of the Court of Inquests and Requests in the Parliament of Paris. In fine condition.
