Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Blue and white brush pot. The Porcelain potted in brush holder shape, sturdily in cylindrical straight body, thick potted, deep curvature, raised on flat round foot base. This brush pot in blue and white fine color, is an excellent object on exterior withqilin mythical beast around flower bloom, rocky rock, flaming vapors, and big pavilion. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.

The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
