LES BIJOUX BARBARES

Sous cette dénomination utilisée parfois par la Maison Boivin, se trouvent regroupés des bijoux tels que pendentifs, bracelets rigides, bracelets souples comportant une variation sur le thème de la spirale. Les appellations différaient selon la source d'inspiration muséale : pendentif assyrien, bracelet "Halsatt" venu du fond de la Préhistoire, bracelet "étrusque", bracelet "mérovingien" et collier "barbare" évoquent chacun à leur manière un moment de l'histoire du bijou. On trouve le poinçon de maître de l'atelier Boivin sur tout le long du bijou que nous présentons, lui imprimant un caractère "collector" encore plus remarquable.

BARBARIAN JEWELRY

Under this denomination used sometimes by the House, are gathered jewels such as pendants, rigid bracelets, flexible bracelets comprising a variation on the theme of the spiral. The appellations differed according to the source of inspiration of the museum. The Assyrian pendant, the "Halsatt" bracelet from prehistoric times, the "Etruscan" bracelet, the "Merovingian" bracelet and the "barbarian" necklace each evoke in their own way a moment in the history of jewelry. We find the hallmark of the Boivin workshop all along the jewel that we present, giving it an even more remarkable "collector" character.
