Ceremonial Ritual Textile, Rejang Lebong Area (Pasemah Interior), Indonesia, Late 19th-Early 20th C.Cotton or bast fiber ceremonial cloth from the Pasemah interior. This type of textile is used for a variety of ritual purposes and is believed to have protective and curative powers. Interlocking and discontinuous supplementary weft patterning. Size: 4'11'' x 1'5'' (150 x 43 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
