Fire screen, American, late 19th C., appears to be from the shop of Ernest F. Hagen (1830-1913), paper label "From Ernest F. Hagen Furniture and Antiques /213 East 26th St., /New York" is attached to underside of lowest stretcher, mahogany frame with ormolu mounts of classical motifs including wreath and bow, griffins and rosettes, oblong panel of fabric (not original) can be raised/removed by lifting cylinder crest, double pedestal base with low, slightly scrolled foot, overall 36 ½" h. x 24" w. x 12 ¼" d. at feet.
