Pre-Columbian, Central Coast of Peru, Chimu, ca. 1100 to 1470 CE. A stunning crustacean themed textile panel woven from camelid (alpaca or llama) and/or cotton fibers in hues of walnut brown and white. The rows of langostinos, or squat lobsters, are geometricized and arranged in alternating sizes. The panel is professionally mounted on a tan cotton cloth over a wooden frame and ready to display.
