Shows the new United States with western boundaries at the Mississippi. The Louisiana territory has a overlapping territory with the US. Florida is Spanish as is most of Latin America. California and New Mexico regions labeled. Mentions Captain Cook’s discoveries in the Pacific Northwest, still shows fictional lakes and rivers. South America is mostly still Spanish with internet borders being very different, such as a massive Paraguay, the viceroyalty of Peru includes today’s Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and stretches into Argentina. Patagonia is called ‘Terra Magellanique’. Brazil still doesn’t control all of its current Amazonia region. 1794 edition by Robert de Vaugondy/ Delamarche, from 'Nouvel Atlas Portatif', posthumously published. Vaugondy was appointed geographer to the king Louis IV in 1760. Hand colored copper plate engraved. 16 x 11 1/2". Authenticity Guaranteed.
