Originally launched in 1937, the Asymétrique represented a dramatic change from traditional round watches. The numerals were rotated by 30 degrees and housed in a Parallelogram shaped case, offering an easy way to check the time at a glance. The Tank Asymétrique has been offered in a number of different versions and has been revisited by Cartier on several occasions. In 2015 Cartier chose to revive the iconic three lugged version for the new Privée collection.
