Patek Philippe produced the reference 5101 from 2003 until it was discontinued in 2008. The watch encompasses two large complications whilst retaining an elegant and attractive size - tandem mainspring barrels for 10 day power reserve and a tourbillon both of which traditionally take a great deal of space. At its introduction it was seen as a pinnacle of watchmaking. Unusually but traditional with Patek Philippe the view of the tourbillon is located to the reverse; keeping in tune with their aesthetic of unparalleled yet understated elegance.
