The Cloche first appeared in the Cartier collection in the 1920's, starting out as a brooch watch designed to be pinned to garments. French for 'bell', the Cloche was first made into a wristwatch in 1921 and has appeared sporadically in Cartier collections ever since.

The current lot is from a limited edition of just 100 pieces launched last year and is numbered 074.
